My band and I did our last US show last November in Wisconsin Rapids. It was for a cancer benefit for a young lady named Lacey (cousin of my drummer Matt Jacoby). Today I found out that she passed away.
This saddens me so much… it’s not like I knew her personally, but the whole reason for the benefit was to raise money for her cancer treatments. Her death was unexpected, and although you understand that death is a possibility when you’re fighting cancer, everyone thought that she would be on the road to recovery with her treatments.

Yeah that totally sucks. The US looses so many people to so many different types cancer a year it’s hard to believe more isn’t being done to fight it, on a government level.
Yes, I agree. It’s a crazy world we live in, and that’s why we should make the most of everyday we spend on this Earth…
