Cancer SUCKS!!!
Thursday, January 28th, 2010My band and I did our last US show last November in Wisconsin Rapids. It was for a cancer benefit for a young lady named Lacey (cousin of my drummer Matt Jacoby). Today I found out that she passed away. 
This saddens me so much… it’s not like I knew her personally, but the whole reason for the benefit was to raise money for her cancer treatments. Her death was unexpected, and although you understand that death is a possibility when you’re fighting cancer, everyone thought that she would be on the road to recovery with her treatments.
I am really glad I had a chance to perform at her benefit. There were a lot of people there, and every single one of them did their part to show her the support she needed. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
At least now she is not suffering anymore.
