I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who voted for me in the 2009 MAMAs!
Your support is VERY MUCH appreciated. You have not only supported your girl in my musical aspirations, but your donations are helping put instruments in kids hands!!! Thank you!
BTW - If you’re in Madison, and you’re interested in going to the MAMA Awards show, it is TOMORROW (Saturday May 9th) at the Barrymore Theater. Winners will be announced at the show, plus there are loads of wicked shows to watch from artists of different genres!
And after the party is the after-party!!! There are HEAPS of after-parties to go to after the show ends at 10pm, but one that I am hosting with Gary Knowledge is the 2009 MAMAs Urban Artists Celebration at the Africana Lounge. All MAMA nominees get in free, no matter what category they are nominated in, so “stop-by” at the very least, and say what’s up! It’s all love.
I am also releasing my CD “Trade” ft. Chino XL on May 22nd @ The Frequency in Madison! The release is about the human trafficking epidemic, and part proceeds will be donated to the Coalition Against Trafficking In Women! If you want to help support the cause and combat trafficking, please come to the release party!!!
Lastly, the Fall Guys and I will be playing at Brat Fest on May 24th @ Willow Island/Alliant Energy Center! We will be blessing the stage from 2 - 3pm, and it’s a free show, so please bring all your friends and family to check us out!
